My teaching journey began unexpectedly in 1985—it wasn't part of my career or childhood plans. However, I soon discovered a profound passion for educating and counseling children, realizing it was my true calling. Despite skepticism from relatives and friends about choosing a less financially rewarding profession, I remained undeterred. My fascination with knowledge led me on a diverse path of exploration.

My academic journey has been a rich tapestry of learning. I pursued and earned four postgraduate degrees in English Literature, Education, Zoology, and Clinical Psychology, culminating in a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. I completed a course in Naturopathy (Doctor of Natural Health Sciences). Beyond academia, I immersed myself in languages, becoming fluent in ten. I embraced singing, dabbled in poetry, and authored non-fiction books. My learning journey continues as I study Vedic astrology, a pursuit spanning over 36 years.

I credit my immediate family—my parents, husband, and son—for their unwavering support and encouragement. While some advised me to focus on one area to achieve excellence rather than becoming a "jack of all trades," I smiled at such suggestions. Knowledge is an endless ocean; I'm merely taking small sips to quench my thirst.

Sharing my story is not about seeking publicity but about inspiring others. My journey is a testament to the power of lifelong learning and the limitless potential within each of us to explore, grow, and contribute meaningfully to the world. When your children express curiosity about different things, don't hinder their exploration; encourage and support them in their endeavors.

For instance, if your child playfully sketches your portrait and smudges your lips with green paint, resist the urge to scold or correct them. Instead, respond with a smile and praise their creativity, saying, "Good job!" This positive reinforcement fosters a sense of freedom and creativity in your child. As they mature, they naturally learn what is appropriate and what isn't, such as not painting human lips with green or yellow.

The key here is patience. By allowing children the space to explore and make mistakes within safe boundaries, they develop critical thinking skills and learn through hands-on experience. This approach nurtures their confidence and independence, laying a firm foundation for lifelong learning and growth.

Lifelong learning is not just about academic achievements; it's about nurturing a growth mindset of continuous curiosity. It's about finding joy in discovering new interests and passions, no matter your age. This mindset has allowed me to wear many hats—educator, counselor, author, singer, linguist, trainer, digital and visual artist, and more. Each role has enriched my life and enabled me to contribute in varied ways.
